Lately, I’ve noticed that about the time I get through the pick up line at my son’s school and start heading home, I hit a wall of fatigue. My eyelids get heavy, I lose the motivation to get any more work done…

Really, my whole body just gets heavy. I feel like I could lay down on the driveway and sleep like the dead, with little acorn bombs landing all around my body, and not even care to actually go in the house.

Is this some kind of cruel cosmic joke switch that was flipped when I turned 50 a couple of weeks ago??

Today, right on schedule, I started feeling my energy being sapped out of me while at the grocery store (I know, not that unusual, right?) So when I got home I flung open the cabinet door where we keep household headache medicine and such, and reached waaaaaay in the back to pull out the bottles of glucosamine and Centrum that I bought back when I was not in denial about my age.

Oh, and I needed something to wash it down.

I mean, I already BOUGHT them. I may as well USE them. I’m not sure they’re big enough though. I’ll let you if they allow me to stay in denial or not.

I’d love to hear from you! Are you headed into “midlife” (or already dogpaddling around in the pool?) What tips can you share for us newbies?? Share in the comments!

  1. Not in midlife, but Arbonne has some fizzy tabs that are seriously awesome for energy. And way more natural than the stuff most of us use for “those things”.
