No, this isn’t something I think about often. In fact, I have never actually considered the idea of being on a boat with a great-looking naked guy. But perhaps I should. And so should you – I give you permission.

Okay, now that we’ve gone there together… The naked guys who have burned their image into my brain were not built like Greg Louganis and the boat was not even in the water. I dreamed recently about a couple of naked guys building a boat. I remember one guy very well. He was a bit soft, so to speak, with curly hair… he had a kind of Scottish or Welsh look to him (I’m not sure what I saw that made me intuit that in the dream, since I have no preconceived notions about what men of the British Isles look like naked). Anyway, they were working with hand tools and building what looked like a simple rowboat that was turned upside down.

Aside from the fact that it was strange that men would do something as potentially damaging to one’s naughty bits as using lathes and hammers in the nude, the context within the dream was odd too. Just before the boat part of the dream I was in a bank talking to a young man who works in the branch I used to visit before we moved. He didn’t look like he does when I’m awake, but that’s how dreams work, right? You know that someone specific was in your dream even though the dream person representing them looked nothing like them? So I walked out a door at some point and there were these two naked, curly-haired boat builders. They never spoke, so I couldn’t verify the idea (fantasy?) that they were Scottish/Welsh. But they smiled, and their eyes sparkled a bit with that Sean Connery-esque look that says “Aren’t I a handsome devil and can’t you believe I’m not capable of doing anything disgusting like beating my wife?”

Ah well… me hat’s off to ye darlins. You can build boats behind my dreamland bank any time.
